Remove Wax Buildup From Furniture
Work in small sections over the entire wood surface until the dull wax buildup is removed.
Remove wax buildup from furniture. Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Dampen a soft cotton lint free cloth with the solution and use it to wipe the surface of the table to break down and remove the wax buildup. You can also purchase chemical wax polish remover at most furniture stores or online.
Combine one part white vinegar with one part. Wax build up is a pain to remove from furniture but not impossible. If the waxy buildup is stubborn pour wood furniture cleaner to a clean cloth either straight from the bottle or diluted with hot water.
Use a measuring cup to pour white vinegar and water in a bowl and mix it thoroughly to incorporate both ingredients together. Combine 1 quart white vinegar with 1 4 cup cream of tartar. To remove wax buildup in wood furniture s crevices dip a soft brush like an old toothbrush in the cleaning solution below and scrub rinse immediately and buff dry.
Since liquids damage wood it is important to work quickly use as little liquid as possible and dry thoroughly after rinsing. Rub onto the furniture following the wood grain. In humid areas or if you have several layers of wax buildup you may need to repeat the process a couple of times to remove all of the layers.
Allow to sit for a few minutes to loosen old wax and wipe clean.
